We are delighted to announce that, after 17 years of fundraising, we have achieved the first phase of our goals; a new clubhouse and an improved car park.
We have been supported by members of the public, club members, Foundation Grants, Lottery funding, large and small events. To all our supporters we thank you for investing in an important part of sporting history. You have helped in the preservation of our heritage and that of the village.
We are now focusing on the next part of our quest…a robust container for housing our green keeping equipment. The cost is less daunting. Early investigations show that a modest £30k will buy us a container thus securing our equipment.
We remain strongly committed to our Community Project, to our sport and to our designated ancient green. It is hoped that it will not take too long to raise this sum of money.
