We at Hurst Bowling Club are embarking on an ambitious project to construct a new Clubhouse to replace our existing building which is no longer fit for purpose.
In 2022 it was decided that the 150 year old clubhouse which has been slowly sinking over the years had reached the point where a new clubhouse would have to be built.
In September 2023 a local architect was engaged to do the design and in 2024 a planning application was approved by the local authority. A builder has been selected and the project was started on the 1 October 2025.
The total cost of the project is £290K and the club has raised the majority of the funds through money raising events, grants, donations and club members donations. The club has a shortfall of £30K to complete the project so we welcome any support for this worthwhile project.
